Let’s run away
The only thing that I want to see is you
We’ll drink and we’ll sleep and we’ll dream so we don’t have to bother
This is a grave
Upper-class communists with nothing to give
And paper men who fold at the thought of their fathers
I’m sorting myself out again
I’m sorting my self out again
I’m sorting myself out again
I’m sorting my self
We shouldn’t stay
The only thing that I want to hear is you and my
Ears to the ground and you scream but I can’t hear you calling
Feel the decay
Wondering why not heaven now? And
We’re scaling the hill but can’t help but look back at at the fallen
Let’s run away
The only thing that I want to see is you
We’ll drink and we’ll sleep and we’ll dream so we don’t have to bother
This is a grave
Upper-class communists with nothing to give
And paper men who fold at the thought of their fathers
At Walden Pond we’ll make a life for ourselves and live it
The city is broke and it’s taken all I have to give it
At Walden Pond we’ll make a life for ourselves and live it
Far away
At Walden Pond we’ll make a life for ourselves and live it
The city is broke and it’s taken all I have to give it
At Walden Pond we’ll make a life for ourselves and live it
Far away

The verse "Can't even buy a coffee without exploiting someone" got me. It really hits hard. For the entire length of the album it felt like the end of the world.
But to be perfectly honest, it's just how life is these days. And it's fucked up. szczur
the powerful instrumentals contrasted against the soft unconfident vocals. like a deep yearning for affection but you dont know how to ask. like a love you feel slipping away but youre powerless to stop it. every time i start it i feel like i cant stop. a must have for my collection. skeletalsexing
viscerally affected by covid, this album has a less optimistic but more accepting message than the previous. it reaches the heart of my experience (and others'?) in a cathartic and depressing acknowledgement. it's nice to know you feel the same niq
